About Emily

Emily Myers, MSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

“I believe therapy is a transformative practice and I am honored to hold space for others to explore their pain, joy, identity, relationships, and purpose while gently guiding them toward the strength they carry within themselves.”

Emily has been working in the mental health field since 2006. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience in various therapeutic settings, including school-based day treatment, intensive in-home therapy, crisis intervention, and outpatient therapy.

She enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and couples and employs a range of person-centered therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, feminist theory, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy, and sex therapy. Emily is currently pursuing AASECT certification in sex therapy.

Emily practices unconditional positive regard to foster a non-judgmental, safe space where clients of all backgrounds and identities can feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions.

She values her clients’ stories and approaches therapy as a collaborative journey. Emily is committed to walking alongside her clients, offering individualized, strength-based, and person-centered care.
